Episode 25: Do You Know How to Tell Your Story to Connect with Others?

from Leadership Becomes Her: Simple, Strategic Solutions for Christian Women Who Lead · host Becky Burroughs

Hey Friend, Each of us has a story to tell. In fact, if we have lived a hot minute, we have many stories. Some are big; these are the stories that had significant impact on our lives. These are often stories that involve pain and in many cases it is important to wait until the emotional open wounds have scars before we can tell them. There are other stories, too. Some are micro-stories that pull at the thread of the big story without telling it. Other stories are more anecdotal, maybe sweet memories of our lives that we have held on to. The problem is not that you don’t have a story. The problem may be that you don’t see the value in your story, or you don’t know how to tell it, or it isn’t time. In today’s episode, I am going to share a simple way to tell your story that glorifies God and blesses others. And because that is the emphasis, it removes the pressure for you to include all of the gory details, which we tend to get bogged down with. I pray this blesses you! Becky
