Derek and his wife Maria had just closed 3 days prior, and were doing some work on the house before they moved in. Around 10 pm Derek went outside to check the mail, where he found a strange envelope addressed "to the new owner". The contents of the envelope were enough to petrify the Broaddus family, and eventually shock and captivate the entire nation.
