Episode #270: Learning to Receive Without Guilt

from Tea Time w/Amie & Bev · host Amie Wade

Receiving is a practice just as much as giving, and for many of us, it comes with emotional strings attached. We say we want abundance, blessings, and signs from the Universe, but when they show up in unexpected ways, we don’t always feel worthy of accepting them.  For example, you find a penny on the ground and smile, whispering, “Thank you, Universe.” But what happens when it’s $22 left behind in a bathroom stall at work? Suddenly, you’re flooded with guilt, questioning what’s “right,” “fair,” or “ethical.” You might even put the cash somewhere hoping someone claims it, yet if that same $22 showed up in an empty parking lot with no one in sight, your inner dialogue might shift.  This discomfort doesn’t mean you’re greedy, it means you’re healing. Many of us were taught to feel guilty for receiving without earning it, to question our worth, or to mistrust good fortune. But gifts from the Universe don’t always come wrapped in obvious packaging.  Decide for yourself what feels right, not from guilt or conditioning, but from the clarity of your heart. Whether you keep it, return it, or pass it forward, let it be a conscious choice rooted in your own truth. You are worthy of receiving. Let abundance flow to you, guilt-free and full-hearted. .May this conversation be beneficial to your life journey.
