Episode 28: The Lost Children of the Alleghenies

The Allegheny mountains are only an estimated 300-mile section of the Appalachian Mountain range. The Alleghenies extend from North Pennsylvania through Western Maryland to West Virginia. Within the Alleghenies is a small town called Pavia, Pennsylvania. Back in 1856, Samuel Cox would build a home for his wife, Susanna, and their two young boys, George and Joseph. But after enjoying a meal together back on April 24th, 1856, the two boys would go missing. It seemed as though they had disappeared into thin air. Droves of people, some from over 50 miles away, travelled to Pavia to assist the couple in their search for their boys. But as time went by, theories, rumors and suspicions began to take over.
