Episode #303: Reframing Fear to Spirit’s Excitement

from Tea Time w/Amie & Bev · host Amie Wade

Growth rarely feels calm in the beginning. More often, it feels like nervousness.  A racing heart. Shaky hands. That inner dialogue asking, “What if this goes wrong?” We’re conditioned to label these sensations as fear. But what if that energy isn’t fear at all? What if it’s Spirit’s vibration of excitement because you’re stepping into something new?  Fear and excitement activate the body in similar ways. The difference lies in perception. When you decide that nervousness might actually be sacred energy rising, an internal signal that you’re expanding, you shift from resistance to curiosity. Instead of assuming danger, you consider possibility.  Trying something new or choosing a different life direction will always stir the nervous system. That doesn’t mean you’re off track. It may mean you’re growing.  Tools like tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques) can help regulate that intensity. By acknowledging what you’re feeling while stimulating calming pressure points, you allow the body to release stored stress and transform anxious energy into grounded clarity.  Personal growth is not about eliminating discomfort. It’s about learning to interpret it differently. When you see nervousness as Spirit nudging you forward rather than fear holding you back, you move with greater trust.  Sometimes the tremble isn’t a warning.   Sometimes it’s excitement in disguise.  May this conversation be beneficial to your life journey.
