Episode #309. Religion & Politics...yes it can be talked about

It doesn't have to be a fight. If voices are raised, if emotions are engaged, ...you're not having a productive conversation....you're just in a fight. Demanding that you are "right" doesn't add to your argument, it diminishes it. The only "right" to insist on is the truth. If you can't pursue the truth with someone who holds deeply different views than yourself, then you're just defending your beliefs...not facts. Would you rather know the actual truth...or would you just prefer to feel superior in your ability to argue? I choose the former, and I hope you do too.
