Episode 33 - SassyBlack

from Platonic Polyamory (fka Undressing Underground) · host Rob Marvin

Another disclaimer of this being someone I respected a lot and really liked the work of and so made me nervous and incapable of just being a normal person while speaking. She had just been on tour with the newly reunited Sleater-Kinney and her latest EP had been reviewed on Pitchfork. I haven't listened to it since it aired, but I can't imagine me coming off great. Original Description: Holy shit! Today is packed solid with greatness. First is some music and conversation with psychedelic funk insanity maker, SassyBlack! We talk Star Trek, being rude to aliens, and what exactly goes into her sound. ALSO, HER EPS ARE $5 RIGHT NOW!!! GO BUY THEM!!! NOW!!! Also, get her in the next Star Trek movie. Like, now. Then Ms. DangerTits helps me out by reading a random poem from the Craigslist Missed Connections and my emails with the person that wrote it. And then I talk to Arvo Zylo. Ok, so, we talk about the Tonetta situation some. But, more importantly he pushes his new original cassette coming out and gives an update on his upcoming El Train performance in Chicago in November.
