Episode 34 - Creating Connection

Denise and Jackie go in on connection. Denise shares her joyous experience at Godmothers Bookstore, learning from and being in the presence of amazing, powerful women. A part of the joy was from being in a high-functioning third space. As the presidential election draws closer, Denise organizes a get-together with friends to write postcards to swing states, simultaneously creating a connecting activity and a feeling of participation.Jackie updates us on how week six of her new medication is going. She feels lighter and more upbeat while also being aware of the extra layer of responsibility that is keeping up with the required scheduling. She’s even picked up meditating again! Denise shares how she is rediscovering the importance of doing things during her rest time that bring her soul joy, no matter how busy she has been lately. However, she is still reserving days for vacation at home. There can be a fine line between joy and depletion.
