Episode 35: Belmont Beginnings - Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse

from Legion Gaming Podcast · host Donny ’DonVanDam’

For our 35th episode we felt it made sense to celebrate with an NES game celebrating it's 35th anniversary this year. Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse was original released in December 1989 in Japan with a U.S. release following it in September 1990. Dracula's Curse was a return to the series roots after Castlevania II: Simon's Quest left fans divisive with it's non-linear structure. Castlevania III introduced branching pathways that would lead to different endings and new playable characters that all played much differently than Trevor did. For as much as it does right, the difficult is among the most brutal on the NES. Deucy and I talk about the significant differences between the Japanese and U.S. version and our experiences with this NES classic.   Send us email: [email protected] Follow us on Instagram and send requests: @LegionGamingPodcast
