Episode 35: The Lipstick Killer

This is Survived with Sophie & Lexi! We started telling our Survived story (in college) and are moving on to bring you guys more! Though many different topics This week we will talk about a case that some of you may or may not know. But we are going back to the 40’s  Please be aware that this case does contain sexual violance, rape, and dismemberment. Many of you have the option to not listen this week as this story will get a bit graphic  William George Heirens’ early life gave no indication that he would grow up to become a murderer, much less the gruesome Lipstick Killer. Though he had been a petty thief since he was a child, Heirens had no record of violence. Born in Chicago, Ill. on the eve of the Great Depression in 1928, William Heirens had grown up in a poverty-stricken home with parents who argued more than they didn’t.
