Welcome to part 2 of episode 38 on the “Love at First Science'' Podcast where Dr. Eric Cobb dives into the neuroscience of headaches! Are you struggling with headaches on a regular basis? Dr. Cobb is back on the podcast to talk about the holistic way to approach headaches and why medication isn’t always the best solution. He introduces the different kinds of headaches and shares the difference between symptom control versus using different perspectives for treatment. He explains the anatomy that is connected to headaches and presents his treatment plan. Dr. Cobb talks about the three topics that influence headaches: diet, sleep, and water intake. He shares the role of movement, and he discusses why there is so much controversy about moving the body when feeling pain and especially headaches. He also talks about the importance of self-awareness and how listening to your body can change the perspective on pain. He describes the way massaging the head has an influence on headaches and he explains the role of using vision and vestibular drills to reduce the pain. Learn More About Dr. Cobb: Dr. Eric Cobb completed his chiropractic degree (magna cum laude) at the University of Western States in 1994. He and his team train fitness coaches, athletic coaches, therapists and physicians from all over the world.
