Episode 395: Liz Brown Macdonald, Keeping Families Together When One Leaves the Church

from Listen, Learn & Love Hosted by Richard Ostler · host Richard Ostler

My friend Liz Macdonald (UVU psychology graduate, married mother of three, lives in SLC) shares research from her capstone project on “Exploring the Impact of Parents’ Religious Rigidity on Young Adults Disaffiliating from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’. Liz (who does not attend Church) is not trying to pull people out of the Church—but rather shares principals and concepts that can bring LDS families together where there are different levels of belief. I believe our Heavenly Parents are pleased when families stay strong, there in open communication and we see and value the contributions of everyone. Liz can be reached at [email protected] or parentfromtheinsideout.com. Thanks for being on the podcast Liz. You are doing needed work!
