Welcome to the 4th episode of Borderline Podcast Disorder! I'm your host, Levy Lupu, and I'm thrilled to have you here. This past week has been quite a rollercoaster ride for me. First, I found myself battling sinusitis, which left me feeling frustrated as it's the first time I've been sick twice in one season. Just last month, I was recovering from a chest infection, so you can imagine my annoyance. However, I've been practicing radical acceptance and loving kindness skills to navigate through these challenges. But amidst the setbacks, there have been moments of joy and reflection. As I powered up my Xbox one morning to indulge in a few games of FC 24, I was unexpectedly transported back in time, about 8 years ago, before Christmas. I reminisced about the days when I could only afford marzipan filled pastries from Wilko, with 2 for £1.5, as my daily food budget was limited to £3. Now, I have the privilege of spending the upcoming holiday season in my new home with my partner, creating beautiful memories. This week also brought a somber occasion, as I attended a funeral for a dear friend's mother. It made me deeply contemplate the fragility of life and reminisce about my own mother. In today's episode, I have the pleasure of chatting with Christian Soda, a dedicated fighter based in Manchester. Despite his busy training schedule, we managed to connect remotely and delve into his journey of discovering his passion and the drive that fuels him. We also explore what it's like to start in his sport, gaining valuable insights and inspiration. If you want to be the first to know about our latest updates and episodes, make sure to follow Christian (@christiansoda) and me (@levylupu) on social media. Thank you for joining us on this incredible journey.
