Episode 404: A Good Pair Of Ears

Hello and hows everybody doing .Fine i hope what with all the turmoil thats going on in the world right now. Well i'm back with another Podcast featuring more Original Music and Cutting Edge Grooves. I'm still working on the yet to be titled new album . Had to work on some tracks that i had already laid down. The one thing that i have learned when it comes to recording and laying the tracks down is that ones ears are always changing in terms of what you hear in the mix .For instance i layed down a Drum track for one of the Compositions that i was creating this was about 6 weeks ago .Now at the time i thought the Drum track sounded great in the playback ,but when i heard it recently ,i just felt that i had to make some alterations to the Drum sound in the mix . I was hearing some things that needed  some changes ,how the hi hat sounded & the snare in the mix i just had to fix them so that it was more pleasing to the ear in the mix .So when you're recording and tracking ,it might sound good to the ear one week but then you may hear something different some weeks down the line .Musicians/Composers tell me your thoughts on this.
