Episode 42 | Is there purpose in my pain?

Parents who've lost a child all ask "why?" Why my child? Why now? Why did they pass the way that they did? Is there a purpose for my pain? People sometimes use scriptures to make us "feel better," telling us things like "God works all things for good" or "God has a plan for you." These seem more like cliches than deep thoughts. Can there be purpose in our pain or is the death of our children a meaningless death--in other words, are we just victims of chance? In this episode we talk about how it might not be helpful to tell people that there was a purpose in the death.
