Episode 42 - ND Red Angus History - Annette Steffan

from Red Angus Remarks · host Red Angus Association of America

On this week's episode we hear from Annette Steffan on behalf of the North Dakota Red Angus Association.  This episode highlights a fantastic effort by State Affiliate to document history.  In honor of the ND Red Angus Association's 60th Anniversary, Annette spearheaded an effort to chronicle the history of the ND State Affiliate, the Red Angus breed, and key individuals whom helped establish the breed as main-stay in the Northern Plains in the form of a documentary.  In this podcast, Annette highlights how the documentary took shape over many hours of hard work brainstorming, writing, recording interviews, and editing.  The initial version of the documentary was shared with the public at the Annual ND Red Angus Association banquet in December 2024.  Annette highlights the rave reviews that were received by those in attendance.  She finishes the episode with what the future has in store for this project, as additional material continues to be recorded and edited.  The initial documentary is not yet available for public access, but keep a close eye on the North Dakota State Affiliate's website for further updates!
