In the early hours of January 27th, the family would be brutally attacked in their own home where 3 of them would die, leaving 2 others injured. Henri, a surviving member, called the police at 7 that morning, telling them the intruder had attacked the family. Police immediately started to piece together that it wasn't an intruder who had attacked the family, but that it was a member of the own Van Breda family.
