Episode 48 God Didn't Call Us to Be Tacky

from Marvin Nemitz Podcast · host Marvin Nemitz

I am convinced that Christian's should be a cut above everyone else. We are the ones that God has called to represent Him as an ambassador of Heaven. I would think, if we are going to represent Jesus, then we should do it well. The Bible tells us that people would know that we are Christians by our love, our words, our works and our wisdom. To be tacky means to be lacking in style or good taste. It is to be lacking in good communication skills and good manners with an attitude to match. To be tacky implies something of low or poor quality that is made cheaply not inexpensively. Who hasn't received a tacky gift from someone who put little thought or expense into it?As Christians we are to be thoughtful, kind, bold, truthful and Spirit led. A tacky Christian is cringeworthy to watch in action. They are the opposite of what we are supposed to be in attitude and behavior. In our day of heated opinions and heightened attitudes we need to be at our best. We need to be filled with wisdom and graceful with people. In this podcast we will discuss these things and more.
