Episode 5 - Goodreads | The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life | Part 2
from Lisa wanna talk · host lisawannatalk
Hi, I'm Lisa and welcome to Lisa wanna talk. Today's 5th episode will talk about the second half of a book that I personally love a lot, called " The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life ". Its main focus is self-growth, but it gets rid of the traditional concept of embracing positive thinking in the past, and uses a very straightforward dialogue to tell us that only by discarding incorrect expectations, honestly facing ourselves, and accepting all of ourselves, can we live freely. As there have been numerous summaries of the book, I will summaries the 6 highlights of the book that impressed me the most: 1. Be careful about behaviors that will feel good in the short term, and be more careful not to get addicted to yourself 2. Self-worth comes from the interpretation of one's own negative encounters 3. Responsible: Take responsibility for everything that happens to you, even if it's someone else's fault 4. Certainty: Certainty are the enemies of growth, and "uncertainty" allows us to focus on self-growth and self-exploration, and to abandon all established stereotypes 5. Do something, then the answer will follow 6. Freedom: The truly meaningful "freedom" is not about having unlimited choices, but about consciously choosing to have profound experiences within a limited range. Above is today's Goodreads of "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life " part 2.
