Episode 5: Heir of Fire Part 2 - Deep Dive

In this episode, we will be discussing the plotlines of the characters that are back in Erilea, while Aelin is in Wendlyn. These characters include Dorian and Chaol, as well as a couple new and important characters: Aedion Ashryver is introduced, as well as Manon Blackbeak and the Witch Clans.  In this book, Dorian and Chaol face fracturing loyalties in Rifthold. Dorian is struggling to hide his forbidden magical abilities from his father, while seeking a way to control them. Chaol is torn between his duty to the King and his personal moral compass. We meet Aedion Ashryver, a general in the King of Adarlan’s army… and also Celaena/Aelin’s cousin. We learn that Aedion is playing a strategic game within the court of Adarlan - balancing his ruthless public image with a hidden mission to protect the things he cares about most. We also get to (finally) meet Manon Blackbeak, the heir to the Blackbeak Witch Clan, who is tasked with training wyverns and forced to compete in violent war games.
