Episode 50: Radically Honest
from Cynthia A Sumner's Podcast Hosted by Cynthia A Sumner
Hormones can change your mood… but they can also expose your beliefs. What started as a simple desire to grow my hair long—something I’ve always associated with femininity and beauty—turned into a deeper realization about how I see myself. After finally reaching the length I wanted, I found myself constantly going back and forth. One day I loved it, the next it felt scraggly. I cut it… then second-guessed it. Cut it again… then regretted it. No matter the length, it was never quite right. And that’s when it hit me—this wasn’t about my hair at all. It was about a deeper pattern: a quiet, buried belief that nothing about me was ever truly “good enough.” In this episode, I open up about recognizing that inner voice of judgment, getting radically honest about what I was feeling, and how uncovering this false belief became a powerful turning point. Because when we’re willing to see what’s really underneath our dissatisfaction, we can finally start creating a life—and a relationship with ourselves—that actually feels aligned, peaceful, and enough.
