In July 2019, Johnny was appointed the Minister for Defence People and Veterans in the Ministry of Defence and Minister for Veterans’ Affairs in the Cabinet Office. He is responsible for armed forces, veterans and civilian people policy. In short, he takes care of veterans and makes sure they are supported at the national level.
