Growing up in the Foster Care system and then the prison system, Scott Hampton has a true understanding of how and where these institutions fail to teach and emotionally care for the youth of this country. It was in prison that Scott began to understand how the lack of acknowledgment of a person's experience in the Foster Care system could truly impact them and hold them back from the growth and acceptance that they deserve. It was from this realization that Scott began to do his own research on the "Foster Care to Prison Pipeline" and began to develop a mentorship program to help those who, like him, did not receive the empathy and support needed to live a full and happy life.
