Starting a Home Based Business & Kit NaturalsAn increasing number of homeschool families are becoming entrepreneurs and business owners. And why not?  Consider that one of the ideas of homeschooling is to spend more time with your children, why not have more freedom and flexibility? Or the fact that as one parent goes off to work while one is primarily the homeschool instructor, generally the mother, families are living on less in order to make it work. So it's really no surprise that we are seeing more homeschool families consider a home business. Our guest today is Scot Gilmore, business manager of Kit Naturals which he and his wife Kathleen founded. Scot, Kathleen, and their 7 children now reside in Central Tennessee where they homeschool their children.Scot Gilmore was born in 1967 and was raised as an only child in Central Ohio. He spent his early years writing poetry and playing in several local bands. His call to ministry & musical pursuits led him to work and travel all across the United States and on 5 overseas excursions. Scot has spent the last 25 years working with various churches and non profit organizations focusing on all facets of ministry.Scot, Kathleen, and their 7 children now reside in Central Tennessee and they continue to travel in support of their ministry work. Scot and Kathleen are currently home educating their 4 youngest children. They also have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren who call Central Tennessee home. Scot also enjoys managing their family’s home-based skin care company, KIT NATURALS He serves as Kit Natural’s business manager and web developer.
