Today's episode is one for the books! Around 1974 (I was in 4th or 5th grade), several of us kids in the neighborhood started a branch of the military known (to us) as the USBR. The United States Backup Reserve Army. This is an accounting of our training rituals and how we rewarded our efforts with medals for valor as well as promotions!
