Episode 54: Coach Eric Flannery- Head Boys Basketball Coach Saint Edwards High School, Cleveland, Ohio

  In this episode of our Championship Vision Podcast, Coach Furtado talks with Coach Eric Flannery who has been the St. Edward Eagles head basketball coach since 1996 where he has won over 400 games in his career. Coach Flannery earned a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University while simultaneously beginning his coaching career at St, Ed’s. His basketball teams at St. Ed’s have won two state championships in 1998 and 2014. Flannery was named the 2007 Associated Press Ohio Coach of the Year. Along with his basketball success at St. Ed’s, Coach Flannery has been involved with USA Basketball since the early 2000s . He helped coach the USA U-16 team to a gold medal in the FIBA Americas tournament during the summer of 2013 in Uruguay and the U-17 team to the gold medal in the World Championships in 2014 in Dubai. Coach Flannery has helped more than 15 former players reach the NCAA Division I basketball ranks and has coached three NBA Draft picks. Coach Flannery was an assistant coach in the 2008 Jordan Brand Classic and was also the head coach of the victorious West Team in the 2010 McDonald’s All-American Game. Coach Eric Flannery has reached the highest levels of success in the high school game. He has a wealth of knowledge to dish out to coaches, parents, and players.
