Episode 57. The Case of Belle Gunness and Her Murder Farm

from Cafecito & Crime · host Estela and Barbara

In 1901, Belle Gunness decided to relocate to a farm in La Porte, Indiana from Austin, Illinois. The year before, in 1900, her first husband, passed away, and after remarrying, it wouldn't be long before she became a widow for the second time. It seemed that death followed Belle, and it started to make the people in town believe that maybe, somehow, Belle had something to do with it.  The people in town always had suspicions, but it was never more than that until the body of a missing man named Andrew was discovered buried on the farm. But Andrew's body wouldn't be the only body found on the farm, and unfortunately, Belle would never be brought to justice because a fire burned down her home with her and her children in it.
