Episode 58 : Trevor Churchman!

On the next edition of Reset and Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Trevor Churchman to the show!Here's his bio in his own words :Trevor Churchman is a father of three and married for almost twenty years. The son of a single mother who grew up in Southern Idaho, Trevor experienced both the best and worst parts of growing up as an only child in a rural area. Trevor is a former Idaho Army National Guardsman with a deployment to Iraq, a former 911 dispatcher, and previously served as a reserve sheriff’s deputy.Currently, Trevor is a Flight Nurse, Critical Care/ Rapid Response Nurse, ground EMS EMT, a member of a Special Operations Rescue Team, a member and president of a public library board of trustees, vice-president of a school foundation board and a volunteer with an adaptive athlete non-profit. Outside of work, Trevor is an ultramarathoner and is currently on a daily running streak of over 4,250 consecutive days and holds aspirations of running a 100-mile distance.While deeply grateful for all of the opportunities and amazing adventures that he has experienced, there has also been a fair amount of turmoil and difficulty on that journey. Childhood abuse combined with countless traumatic experiences, poor coping mechanisms and a rebellious streak led to substance abuse issues, legal complications, mental health crises and a lifelong propensity for depression, self-destruction and intrusive thoughts. These experiences and tendencies all contributed to creating a daily battle for forward progress.Trevor has grown and although daily struggles still exist, firmly believes that one of the most important routes to true success and tenacity in the face of failure and adversity is empathy. With over ten years of bedside nursing with thousands of patient contacts, Trevor finds peace, resilience and redemption in helping others.
