On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome PWBA Bowler Rina Sabo to the show! Here's her bio in her own words :I'm a Colorado Native. I started bowling at the age of 12 years old in my first junior league at Bowlero Lanes in Lakewood, Colorado. My passion for the sport grew even deeper during my junior years by bowling several other leagues and tournaments. When I turned 19, I started bowling in adult leagues and my passion for the sport grew into ambition. My ambition and love for the sport have earned me several Colorado Springs Queens titles and several USBC Colorado State women's titles which I'm honored to say in August 2025, I got inducted into the USBC Colorado State Hall of Fame.My dream was to become a professional bowler. With the relaunch of the PWBA in 2015, I was given an opportunity to achieve that dream. After many tournaments, I became a PWBA member in 2019, which opened the door further in my journey to achieve my dream. I am proud to say I have 3 top 10 finishes in the PWBA regional tournaments in 2024.I am honored and blessed to say that my dream of becoming a member of senior Team USA came true in October 2025. My first gold medal was in the doubles event with a great partner, Jodi Woessner. My second gold medal was in the team event with some great teammates, Lynda Barnes, Dana Ausec and Jodi Woessner. I owe a big part in my professional career to my husband and son, whose continued support through thick and thin have propelled me to places I could only dream of visiting and walking along with many other professional bowlers.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 41 : Marine Veteran & Entrepreneur Brandon Harris!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome retired Marine Veteran and Entrepreneur Brandon Harris to the show! Here's his bio :Brandon Harris spent a decade in the Marine Corps with multiple deployments, and came home thinking the hard part was over.It wasn't.The years after the uniform came off were the messiest of his life — bouncing through oil and gas, project management, bootstrapping a cigar company, starting a non-profit for the Veteran and first responder community, and a handful of other swings that didn't connect. He jokes that his resume looks like a guy who couldn't hold a job, but the truth is he was hunting for the thing that fit. He finally found it in Mergers & Acquisitions, where he now works as an advisor helping Founder-led business owners scale and exit companies they've spent decades building. At 37 years old he's back in school to finish a finance degree after 19 years since dropping out with below a 2.0 GPA. He lives in The Woodlands, Texas with his wife — a local constable and school resource officer — and their three daughters, who are actively teaching him that combat was easier than raising teenage girls.Brandon's story is about the long walk between who you were and who you're becoming, the value of swinging and missing, and why the setbacks usually turn out to be the setup.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 40 : Vietnam Marine Combat Veteran (Ret.) Keith Cole!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome retired Marine Vietnam Veteran and author Keith Cole to the show! Here's his bio :Keith Cole is a Marine Corps combat veteran who served as a machine gunner in Vietnam, where survival depended on discipline, emotional control, and carrying more than your share of the load. After returning home, he built a successful career as a CPA and business owner. For decades, the same mindset that kept him effective in combat—suppressing emotion, staying mission-focused, and pushing through—was rewarded in the corporate world.Until it wasn’t.What followed wasn’t a single breaking point, but a slow, internal collapse that didn’t make sense on the surface. Externally, everything looked stable. Internally, something was coming apart. That experience led him to examine the long-term cost of unresolved trauma, high-functioning burnout, and the delayed impact of living in a constant state of pressure and control.Today, Keith focuses on helping others recognize the early signs of that “delayed collision” before it becomes a collapse—especially among high performers, veterans, and leaders who have spent years being rewarded for the very traits that may be working against them.Keith is the author of Burnout: God’s Recovery Plan, where he explores the intersection of trauma, performance, and recovery through both lived experience and practical application.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

    Episode 36 : Stetson Crane!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Stetson Crane to the show! Here's his bio :Stetson Crane is an entrepreneur, adventurer, and storyteller who believes the same mindset that helps someone jump out of an airplane can also help them build a business and face life’s hardest moments. Stetson grew up in an entrepreneurial family that was constantly chasing opportunity. His parents owned several businesses while working toward their dream of operating their own grocery store. During those years his family moved frequently as they followed new opportunities, and much of Stetson’s childhood was spent inside those businesses. When his parents finally opened their store, he practically grew up under the office desk, watching how the business operated day in and day out. By the age of ten he was already working alongside his dad, putting in long hours and learning firsthand what hard work, responsibility, and persistence looked like. Those early years built a strong work ethic and gave him confidence that he could figure things out if he was willing to work hard enough. As an adult, Stetson eventually started his own business and now operates Night Owl Janitorial in Idaho. But the early days of entrepreneurship weren’t easy. Being young and responsible for a company and employees came with a lot of self-doubt. He often questioned whether he was capable of building something successful. Ironically, when he finally hit some of the financial goals he had been chasing, he found himself feeling unexpectedly lost and depressed. The success he thought would bring fulfillment didn’t solve the deeper questions about purpose and meaning. That turning point eventually led him to skydiving. What started as a curiosity quickly became a passion. Thousands of feet above the ground, Stetson discovered a powerful connection between fear, clarity, and living fully in the moment. Skydiving—and later BASE jumping—became a way to confront fear head-on and rebuild a stronger mindset. Today, Stetson brings those lessons from the sky back into business and life.He is passionate about helping others overcome fear, take action on their ideas, and build lives that balance hard work, adventure, and personal growth. Whether he’s leading teams, launching new business ideas, or jumping out of airplanes, Stetson’s message is simple: growth lives on the other side of fear—and sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen after life forces you to reset and rise again.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

He weight 3 lbs 6 ounces. He was a miracle baby. His mom was to have twin girls as well but they were both stillborn and didn't survive. When Rob was born, the doctor said that if he survived the night, he'd have a good chance of making it. He was put in an incubator in ICU for several days. He kept staring at the heat lamps so much that the doctor put masking tape over his eyes to protect his vision and that left permanent scars above his eyebrows. Fast forward 6 years and that's when Rob got into bowling. His mom worked at the former Bradley Bowl in Windsor Locks, CT that used to be a regular stop on the PBA Tour throughout the 60's to the 90's. Both of Rob's parents bowled in leagues there, so it was a natural step for Rob to try it himself. He started in a Youth league where he won High Average. That trend continued winning High Game and High Average awards throughout his Junior league years and was part of several teams that were League Champions. When Rob was 12, the worst thing that ever happened to him as a kid was when his parents had gotten divorced when he was in the 7th grade. His mom and left and was dating someone Rob had grown up with at the bowling alley that was only 7 years his senior.Rob met his future (and Current) Wife in 1998 when he was 22 years old in an Atlanta Braves Chat Room on AOL. For some reason, he said something funny to catch her attention and they started Instant Messaging each other and on June 8th of that year started a long distance relationship. He visited her in Tennessee that summer and they instantly hit it off. On December 17th, 1998 he proposed to her and she said yes. They continued to see each other when he would fly to TN or she would fly to CT.In 2000, Rob decided to leave home for the first time and move to Murfreesboro TN. He lived in one side of a shared split house near Middle Tennessee State University and had worked as a Retail Manager. Being a strong Baptist Christian, her parents wouldn't let her go to Rob's apartment so she had to sneak out after work. After a year, Rob was lonely for home and moved back to Connecticut where he lived with his mom, his dad, and a friend from 2001 to 2004.In 2005 Rob's still fiancee moved to CT and lived with Rob until her parents kinda gave them an ultimatum. If you want to live together, fly down here and get married and we will pay for it. So, they did. On February 12th, 2005 they finally tied the knot after 7 years of an on again and off again relationship. They lived with her parents in Rockvale, TN until they were fortunate to buy a home in Smyrna, Tennessee in 2012. It was there that they decided it was finally time to put their own roots down and try to have a baby. After a miscarrage in November 2017, they tried again and they were able to announce to their family on Christmas of that year that they were going to have a baby again. On August 16, 2018 they had their first child, a girl and she instantly changed Rob's life. Rob has also been a podcaster and YouTube content creator since 2017. He's had several shows including RTW, RTW Rewind and RTW Main Event wrestling podcasts, Straight Up 5, a bowling show that still releases weekly for the last 5 years, and several other former and current shows, including Reset and Rise.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

    Episode 31 : Todd McGill

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Todd McGill to the show! Here's his bio :I’ve been around bowling my whole life—growing up at Colerain Bowl, watching my dad and twin brother, and picking up the ball myself at 14. I quickly fell in love with the game, competing in youth leagues and even setting records—like being the first youth bowler in Ohio to average over 200. Bowling carried me through adulthood with perfect games, 800 series, and managing lanes—but life threw some challenges my way. Moving away, struggling with alcohol, anxiety, and stepping away from the sport tested me—but I found my way back home, and back to the game I love. I started the Sunday Sweeper at Northwest Lanes, built it into a city-wide event, launched TMT Bowling, and grew a community around the sport. Even when Colerain Bowl closed, new opportunities came with Bowlifi and becoming GM at Gilmore Lanes. Along the way, I was honored with the Sam Levine Memorial Award and inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Hall of Fame. Today, I still run tournaments, support the bowling community, and—even after health challenges—I’m back practicing, back enjoying the game, and sharing it with the people who make it so special. Bowling has always been, and will always be, my second home.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 30 : Host of the Wild Chaos Podcast Bryan "Bam Bam" Marshall!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome former Marine and host of the Wild Chaos Podcast, Bryan "Bam Bam" Marshall! Here's his bio : Bam Marshall is a Marine veteran, entrepreneur, husband, and father whose life has been shaped by service, loss of purpose, and the long road of rebuilding after war. At 18 years old, Bam joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served for eight years and completed two combat tours in Iraq. Like many who leave the military, stepping out of that world came with an unexpected cost. The structure, brotherhood, and clear sense of mission were gone, and he found himself deeply lost in purpose.Searching for direction, Bam turned to overseas contracting, spending time working in Afghanistan, still chasing the feeling of meaning he once had in uniform. In 2014, everything shifted. Bam co-founded Wishes For Warriors Corp, a nonprofit dedicated to helping combat-wounded veterans experience life-changing adventures to remind them that life after war is not only possible, but worth fighting for. What started as a mission to help others also became part of Bam’s own healing. For 12 years, he ran the organization, walking alongside wounded veterans, witnessing resilience up close, and learning that recovery is rarely linear. In 2026, he officially retired from the nonprofit, closing one chapter while honoring what it built. Beyond the nonprofit world, Bam has faced business failures, financial pressure, identity loss, and the internal battles that come with carrying responsibility for a family while trying to stay grounded. Rather than numbing or avoiding those struggles, he began rebuilding from the inside out through discipline, faith, fitness, and mindset as daily practices.Today, Bam is the host of The Wild Chaos Podcast, where he has raw, unfiltered conversations with veterans, law enforcement, and everyday people about trauma, growth, and the moments that force us to reset our lives. He also leads BAM Nation, a men’s brotherhood focused on accountability, integrity, and becoming the kind of man your family can rely on when things get hard. Bam’s message is simple but hard-earned: fear doesn’t go away when life gets easier. You overcome it by choosing to show up anyway. No matter how many times you’ve fallen, it’s never too late to reset, rise, and keep moving forward. Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

He completed basic and advanced training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, becoming a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic with recovery specialization. His first duty station was Fort Hood, Texas, with Alpha Battery 2/20 Field Artillery, supporting MLRS rocket systems. Shortly after, Jerry volunteered to deploy to Iraq, switching units to 289th Quartermaster Company. He completed two 12-month combat deployments from 2004–2005 and 2006–2007, the second of which was extended due to stop-loss orders. Between deployments, Jerry became a father to his daughter Haleigh. After transferring to Fort Carson with the 984th Military Police Company, he deployed once more from 2009 to 2010. Upon returning, he transitioned to the Army Reserve—but before he could report, his life changed forever. On October 15, 2011, a catastrophic workplace accident resulted in the traumatic amputation of both legs below the knee. Left unattended for over an hour and 45 minutes, Jerry relied on his combat lifesaver training to stabilize himself, using improvised tools like wrenches and ratchet straps for tourniquets. Despite the trauma, he remained calm, directing life-saving efforts until Flight for Life arrived. He was flown to Denver Health—the very hospital where he was born—which became the place that saved his life once again. Refusing to let his injuries define him, Jerry rebuilt his life with relentless determination. He relearned to drive with hand controls and immersed himself in adaptive sports. In 2016, he found sled hockey and quickly rose through the ranks. He joined the Colorado Avalanche sled hockey A-team and was later voted in as Club President. In his first off-season, he helped the organization regain its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Since then, under his leadership, the team has won three national championships, two NHL Sled Classic titles, and Jerry was named a finalist for the Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award, presented by the NHL and Discovery. In addition to sports and advocacy, Jerry pursued his passion for cooking. From 2020 to 2022, he earned his Culinary Degree from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and is currently three-quarters of the way through his Baking and Pastry Arts degree. Whether it’s in the kitchen or on the ice, Jerry brings the same drive and passion to everything he does. Today, he remains focused on earning a spot on the U.S. Men’s National Sled Hockey Team. He loves working out, swimming, hunting, golfing, and fishing. Jerry is married to Regina Louise DeVaul and is the proud father of Haleigh, Jerry III, David, and Maximus. On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Dan Griner and Ashley Scott from Strike Against Suicide, Spare A Life LLC! Here's their bio : Dan Griner is a native of Bridgeton, New Jersey. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Trident University. Dan honorably served 30 years in the United States Marine Corps before retiring in July 2023. Throughout his career, Dan was an avid bowler and pro shop owner. He was aPBA, USBC, TNBA, UBA, and JBC member. In 2010 he received approval from the USBC for his Friction Addiction Ball Cleaner. Subsequently, he opened two pro shops in Japan before settling in Hampton, Va. In 2022, he became a partner in the Xtreme Performance Pro Shop, in Hampton and Williamsburg, Virginia. In January 2024, Dan founded Strike Against Suicide, Spare a Life LLC. His service awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit and service awards. Dan Griner is married to Rika Griner, and has three children.Ashley T. Scott, an Ohio native, graduated from Maple Heights High School and attended Tiffin University before enlisting in the Navy Reserve in February 2010. She earned her Associates degree in General Studies from Columbia College in 2013, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashford University in 2017, and a Master of Business Administration/Management, with a concentration in Leadership from Tiffin University in 2021. She has been around bowling since the age of 2 weeks old! But did not take bowling seriously until she was an adult. She did bowl youth league until I went to college, and it wasn’t until 2013 that she started to take bowling on seriously. She not only bowls leagues, but she is so thankful to represent her service as she has been part of the All Navy and Armed Forces bowling team for nearly 12 years. More importantly, she is so honored to be part of the Strike Against Suicide, Spare a Life initiative. Having served in the U.S. Navy now for over 14 years, She’s experienced losing (3) Sailors to suicide, and has dealt with many who have had suicidal ideations. Having dealt with (3) suicides, not one got easier to deal with than the one prior. Her hope is that through bowling, they are able to save lives, one game, one bowling ball, or even one pair of bowling shoes at a time. To be able to create an environment free of judgement allows our service men and women a safe place to let go all of the things that are bothering them go. All of the negative thoughts that tend to take over their lives are forgotten about. They are able to focus on all of the good things in their lives, and create memories with their fellow service members knowing that they have more in common with one another than they would think. It’s a beautiful thing to celebrate all of the reasons that we want to live, versus focusing on even just one reason why we don’t. If we can do that through bowling and save even just one life, we are doing our jobs. Together we can. Together we will.

Here's his bio : Rex is a 7th generation Texan, military combat veteran, nonprofit founder, podcast host, and tactical business coach who has built a career around one mission: helping people own who they are and turn it into impact. He spent his early years serving in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Operator, working across diverse teams and geographic regions. In that role, he learned how to lead, train, and operate alongside some of the most elite forces this country produces-including Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Air Force Special Operations, CIA, FBI, and foreign military partners-ensuring terrorist networks were dismantled and threats were eliminated. Those years forged his discipline, adaptability, and his belief that self mastery isn’t optional; it’s the baseline for anyone who wants to lead, create, or make an impact. After retiring from the military, Rex continued serving by giving his talents to nonprofit organizations in Florida. As an educator, instructor, and coach, he helped people find their purpose, develop marketable skills, and build the confidence needed to step into the workforce. As the creator of MF Coaching, Rex brings a direct, cut through the BS approach to helping Veteran entrepreneurs, creators, and leaders build brands rooted in clarity, confidence, and identity. His coaching centers on a simple ethos: master yourself first. Because if you can’t control your mindset, your habits, and your identity, you’ll never control your business, your brand, or your life.Rex also uses podcasting as a broadcast extension of his coaching. Through conversations with high profile entrepreneurs, creators, and military community leaders, he turns each episode into a coaching session in disguise-challenging assumptions, exposing limiting beliefs, and showing listeners what it looks like to lead from who they truly are. His newest show, Identity, dives deep into the stories and defining moments that shape how people show up in the world. Known for his no nonsense style and tactical clarity, Rex helps people cut through the noise, communicate with purpose, and build lives and businesses that feel aligned-not performative. Whether he’s coaching, creating, or serving through his nonprofit, Rex’s work always comes back to the same core belief: identity and self mastery are the foundation of everything.Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 25 : Entrepreneur Jordon Basurto!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome Jordon Basurto to the show! Here's his bio :Jordon Basurto is an entrepreneur, creative, and skydiving instructor whose path has been anything but linear. Raised in San Diego before moving to Idaho in his early teens, Jordon experienced loss at a young age when an immediate family member passed away from cancer. That moment reshaped his direction, pushing him to take ownership of his life early—earning his GED and moving to Lake Tahoe at 17 to chase snowboarding at a professional level. For years, snowboarding was everything. Winters in Tahoe, summers at Mt. Hood, competing professionally and living fully inside that world. In his early twenties, Jordon made a pivot—returning to San Diego to study fashion and co-found a denim brand. While the product was strong, the experience exposed a gap that would later define his career: marketing and business strategy. That curiosity led him into sales and distribution, where—starting with almost no money—he helped build one of the larger distribution networks in North America. During that time, he became a stage trainer, speaking in front of audiences of 5,000+ people. The experience sharpened his ability to lead, communicate, and build teams at scale. From there, Jordon transitioned into online marketing, app development, and creative work behind the camera, eventually opening and running a studio. But everything changed when he discovered skydiving. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling. Within a few short years, he became an instructor and eventually a drop zone owner, driven by a simple mission: to build a safe, professional operation that protects the culture and grows the sport the right way. Today, Jordon brings together creativity, leadership, and lived experience—proof that reinvention isn’t a setback, it’s a skill. My husband and I got into Neurofeedback to help others feel the life changing effects I felt after battling depression and anxiety for 16+ years. After learning of our infertility, I spiraled down a long road of depression. Ready to give up, I was told about Neurofeedback and decided after years of therapy, medication and many other resources, it was my last chance to find mental peace. And it worked. I haven’t felt depressed for 5 years now since completing my treatment protocols. After working as a rehabilitation counselor for more than a decade, Carl felt he wasn’t seeing the success with his clients that he was hoping for. Episode 12 : Founder/President of CenTexReig, Inc. Ryan Dodge!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome the Founder/President of CenTexReig, Inc. Ryan Dodge! Here's Ryan's Bio in his own words : I’m the founder and president of CenTexReig, Inc. (Central Texas Real Estate Investors Group). Over the years, I’ve completed more than 200 real estate transactions—strictly as an investor, not agent. I currently live in Marble Falls, Texas, right on the lake, and I’m living the dream I set out to achieve 10 years ago. That dream started when I invested in private education focused on business ownership and real estate investing. My Military Background I spent 4.5 years serving as an Army Infantryman, reaching the rank of E-5 in just three years. I also completed Air Assault School on my first attempt and served a year in combat (Basra, Iraq). During that time, I knew that once my contract ended, I wanted to be a business owner. My priority was controlling my own time and income. After leaving the military, I was unemployed for a year and completed all the coursework required to become a licensed real estate agent. But when it came time to take the final exam, I had a realization—I didn’t want to represent buyers and sellers. I wanted to be the one owning and profiting from real estate as a business owner. At the time, I didn’t even know the term "real estate investor" existed, but I knew I wanted to be in control of the deals. One night, I attended a real estate investing seminar in Austin where a wealthy attorney pitched a four-day boot camp for $8K. I watched people line up to swipe their credit cards and thought to myself, There’s no way four days of training is enough to master real estate investing. That experience made me skeptical of the industry’s education system. Then, I came across what I consider the best real estate investing community—through a Craigslist ad, of all places. It was exactly what I had been searching for: instructors who were actively doing deals in their respective niches. Since then, I’ve earned 7 figures in business More importantly, I solve real estate problems for people every week. When I started at 24, fresh out of the Army and unemployed, I didn’t even know what “equity” meant. Real estate investing wasn’t on my radar—it just clicked one day. I may not be the most book-smart person, but I’m street-smart. I knew I had to avoid the rabbit hole of endless research—books, podcasts, and YouTube videos with conflicting advice that lead to analysis paralysis. Instead, I found a direct path to success—and I followed it. Real estate investing is hands-down the best way to achieve financial freedom in a short period of time, outside of becoming a celebrity, pro athlete, or musician. And guess what? Even they need real estate and business ownership in their lives. 7 years ago, at 28, I was thriving in my business when I suddenly had two seizures and a stroke. I was in great shape, had no prior health issues, and then—out of nowhere—I found out I had brain cancer. I underwent surgery, and by God’s grace, I’m still here. However, I now live with epilepsy and experience regular seizures. At that time, my empire came crashing down, but I refused to quit. I kept pushing forward, and today, I’m rebuilding—stronger than ever.Join our Private Facebook Group!Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 11 : JoPo Grips CEO/Owner Jerome Penxa & Jerry Jr!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome the CEO/Owner of JoPo Grips and his son, Jerry Jr! JoPo Grips was not born in a corporate boardroom or backed by massive investments—it started as a dream, a passion project fueled by a love for bowling and an unwavering belief in innovation. Jerome Penxa (Owner/CEO), a dedicated bowler and design enthusiast, envisioned a revolutionary interchangeable grip system that would enhance consistency, durability, and performance for bowlers at every level. Determined to bring this vision to life, Jerome introduced his idea to multiple people within the bowling industry, but his proposals were met with little enthusiasm. The responses were slim to none—except for one. A major distributor in the United States gave a brutally honest assessment, stating that ”[JoPo Grips] had no chance.” Undeterred, Jerome was convinced that his product could change the game and persisted in securing a meeting with the distributor, leveraging his existing relationship with them. That pivotal meeting took place with two executives from the distributor, Jerome Penxa and his son, Jerry Penxa II (JP), presenting their vision for JoPo Grips. The very next day, the distributor placed their first order. What began as a hobby quickly gained momentum. Initially, JoPo Grips operated out of Jerome’s garage and condo in Metro Detroit, utilizing every available inch of space—from countertops to dinner tables—to produce and refine the interchangeable grip system. In an industry dominated by global competitors, including a major rival headquartered in Michigan, JoPo Grips faced an uphill battle. However, through word of mouth, grassroots efforts, social media engagement, and minimal marketing dollars, the product began to make an impact. The bowling community took notice, and trust in JoPo Grips grew. The “TWIST” system—short for “Thumb With Interchangeable Superior Technology”—became the defining feature of the brand. Bowlers recognized its superior locking mechanism, which provided unmatched durability and reliability compared to traditional interchangeable thumb grips. What started as a local success in Metro Detroit expanded to a statewide phenomenon, then gained national recognition, and ultimately achieved international reach. Today, JoPo Grips is seen on the biggest stages in professional bowling (PBA), with elite athletes such as EJ Tackett and Sean Rash proudly representing the brand. Their endorsement, along with the trust of pro shop operators and everyday bowlers worldwide, has solidified JoPo Grips as a true industry disruptor. The growth of JoPo Grips has led to a transition from a small-scale operation to a fully functional warehouse, where the company now produces a full range of products, including JoPo Outers, spare balls, the Twist Tool, Logo Tape, and an upcoming lineup of pre-cut finger, thumb, and wrist tape. What started as an idea dismissed by many has become a global brand revolutionizing how bowlers interact with their equipment. JoPo Grips is more than just a product—it’s a testament to persistence, passion, and the belief that innovation, no matter how small it starts, can reshape an entire industry.Join our Private Facebook Group!Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 9 : USMC Scout Sniper Vet Aaron Smith!

On this edition of Reset and Rise to the Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, We welcome former USMC Scout Sniper Aaron Smith to the show! Here are Aaron's own words... "My name is Aaron Smith; I’m a 41-year-old father of four, Marine Corps combat veteran, stay at home dad, volunteer, and work for a veteran non-profit, the USMC Scout Sniper Association. I joined the United States Marine Corps in June 2002, became a Scout Sniper in 2004, and a commissioned officer in 2012. I served four combat tours in two foreign countries, one of which I volunteered for, been awarded four Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals, Combat Action Ribbon, and Sustained Excellence by a Government Agent by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). In 2017 I left the service honorably, with a VA rating of 100% Permanent and Total disability, after 15 years of service. October 13, 2021, I was in a motorcycle accident that amputated my left leg on scene. I’ve had six operations since then, and I’m one of the few amputees with a bone anchored prosthesis (osseointegration). Since then, I became an avid volunteer, particularly in our elementary and middle schools where I volunteer with my service dog to provide services for kids with intellectual or physical disabilities, reading groups, and assist with small group learning. I also give presentations to the Physical Therapy students, and students considering professions in the field of prosthetics, at Eastern Carolina University. I have also made numerous trips to North Carolina State to participate in robotic prosthetic experiments in their Neuro-Biomedical Engineering Lab. I am also on the Board of Directors for the USMC Scout Sniper Association, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to helping Marine Scout Snipers and their families. My latest endeavor is volunteering with my kids for Adaptive Surf Project – NC in our town."Join our Private Facebook Group!Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.

Episode 4 : How To Manage Anxiety As An Athlete With PWBA Superstar Heather Sterner!

On this edition of Reset And Rise To The Unbreakable With Amanda Moore, we welcome PWBA Superstar Heather Sterner to the show! Heather is not only a Professional Bowler, she is also a Pain Free Performance Specialist, a Precision Nutrition Coach and so much more! Here is a snippet of her story in her own words :"In 2022 I lost my best friend, my dad, to bladder cancer and while anxiety and depression is common while grieving, I had no idea the levels of anxiety that had been appearing in my life before, and after. I continued to bowl that spring and competed on the PWBA tour, only to reach what felt like the lowest points of my career. When I would compete I would experience levels of anxiety and panic that I had never experienced before. I thought my poor performance was to blame and started working harder on my mental game. One day while practicing after an event, I began to experience chest pains that wouldn't go away. After a visit to the hospital in Cleveland and numerous tests, everything came back normal and they suggested I was experiencing a panic attack. THAT is when I finally got help and learned about my anxiety and how to truly manage it. I have since been a huge advocate of mental health in athletes because I think high achievers and athletes especially, often don't ask for help because they feel it is something that they can control on their own."Join our Private Facebook Group!Follow Amanda on Instagram :@BackupBowler83Follow the show on Instagram and Tik Tok :@ResetandRisePodcast⁩Send us an email with your questions and comments :[email protected] a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reset-and-rise-to-the-unbreakable--6690676/support.
