Episode 6: Ethiopia, Egypt, Somalia, and the Horn of Africa, Part Two
from On the Fringe · host On the Fringe
Hey all! We just finished recording Episode 6 of On the Fringe. On this episode, we dive more into how and why the Horn of Africa region (Ethiopia, Somalia, Egypt) is such a mess, but was still somewhat predictable—and what might happen if the entire bottom falls out of the basket…which is looking ever more likely.I was just listening to the episode and realized that I made a BIG boo-boo and said that Somalia would attack Ethiopia in the event of a war from its airports—they can’t— because they don’t have a functional Air Force. But Egypt likely would use them if the three get into a fight!Regardless of where you are in the world, East Africa WILL impact you. Wanna know how? Give us a few minutes of your time and we’ll explain everything. As always, thanks for listening and feel free to leave us a comment or two! :)Davescapades is a reader-supported publication.
