Episode 6: Pediatric Burn Patient Rehabilitation, Triage Mobile Apps, and Careers in Burn Surgery

In the JBCR podcast for the 6th issue, Digital Media Editor Dr. Katie Romanowski highlights a few articles from the November/December issue. The three articles featured focus on guidelines for rehabilitative exercise training in pediatric burn patients, the use of a mobile app to streamline the triage and transfer process, and a survey of burn surgeons and palliative care physicians about conducting goals of care discussions. Dr. Romanowski then interviews Dr. Laura about her article from this issue, "Contemplating a Career in Burn Surgery: Data from the 2016 Burn Physician Survey". They discuss some details of the paper as well as discussing the pros and cons of a career in burn surgery and the future of the burn surgery work force.
