Episode 60. The Tragic Case of Lorenzen Wright
from Cafecito & Crime · host Estela and Barbara
Seasoned basketball player Lorenzen Wright had just retired from the NBA in 2009 and divorced his wife, Sherra, in early 2010. The couple shared six children, so in the summer of that same year, Lorenzen flew to Memphis, Tennessee to spend time with his kids and his ex-wife, among other plans he had. On July 19th, a friend was supposed to pick him up but he was nowhere to be found. After news of his disappearance hit the media, a 911 dispatcher recalls receiving a phone call with gunshots in the background around the same time Lorenzen went missing. And it was that call that led the police to locate his remains on July 28, near a wooded area. Join us for today's episode to find out what happened to Lorenzen.
