Planting Seeds in our ChildrenOur mission here at the Homeschool Leadercast is to help families raise up a Generation for Christ. As Christian parents we are called and commanded to raise our children to love the Lord and make disciples of all nations.  This means we must teach our children's God's Word, and plant seeds of God's love in them.  Our guest today is Rebecca Brandt founder of Mom's Mustards Seeds and host of the Rejoicing Daily podcast.  She is going to talk to us today about what it means to plant seeds in our children.Rebecca Brandt grew up in a small town of North Carolina. Her parents divorced when she was four, and a few months later her oldest brother and youngest uncle were tragically killed in two separate accidents. Rebecca later met her husband while she was in high school, and they eloped during Desert Storm. Within a few years, they divorced, and Rebecca spent time serving in the military and then climbing the corporate ladder. While life was not easy, Rebecca knew God was always there. She had a desire to follow Him, but an willing heart to submit until finally she heard the call once and forever that He truly was her Father. Through God's quiet voice, Rebecca has learned about prayer, forgiveness, and the beauty of submission to her Creator.As a result, Rebecca has an inspiring story of redemption and reconciliation with her husband. She shares how they began homeschooling and why they created their online homeschool site called Mom's Mustard Seeds. Originally, they wanted to share their knowledge about their lives and family through this site, but God had even bigger plans in mind for them.
