Episode 632: Mixtape Monday 144 #new52mixshow

This week’s episode came together off the top, leaning into a more melodic sound. What began as an eclectic mixtape mini-series within the #new52mixshow has gradually evolved into a hub for newer electronic dance mixes. Diego Druck’s remix of John Summit’s ‘Where You Are’ fits perfectly alongside the Solly’s Proper House vibe, bridging the worlds of groove and melody. The set opens with a remix of ‘Taste’ by Tyga and ‘Money to Burn’ by Drake — both club staples from my Monday nights at Dancers Showclub — and closes with Armand Van Helden’s remix of ‘The Bomb’ by The Bucketheads, a timeless house classic sampled from Chicago’s ‘Street Player".
