Episode 64: Local Motives

In Episode 64, Jake sits down with childhood friends Nate Murray and Cody Pfister, the lifelong friends behind Local Motives, a documentary born out of an ’80s van, a camera, and a wild idea to travel across all 50 states (they hit 46) listening to people experience climate change up close. What started with friendship, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors turned into a project about fishing, farming, invasive species, weather, industry, and the communities trying to adapt without losing who they are. Nate and Cody are not interested in preaching from a distance. They are interested in getting close enough to listen.
