Episode 73: Coach Greg Buescher (Head Boys Basketball Coach La Plata High School, La Plata, MO)

  Head Boys Basketball and Softball coach at La Plata High School in La Plata, MO Buescher just wrapped up his 29th season of coaching boys basketball. In 2010, he led an undefeated Sturgeon team to the state championship with an undefeated 32-0 record, was named the KRES Coach of the Year, MBCA Class 2 Boys Coach of the Year and National Federation High School Coach of the Year for the state of Missouri. Buescher also previously coached at Moberly, Clark County, Glasgow and Trenton in Missouri. He has amassed 499 wins in his career and has amassed 9 conference titles.  He coached Jaryt Hunziker at Clark County MO both 95 and 96 seasons who is now the head girls basketball coach at Boonville HS in MO. He has coaches at a number of schools in both MO and IL. He coached Matt Lewis who is the Head coach at D3 College champions Wis. Osh Gosh at Augusta-Southeastern in IL.  His teams are known for: Zone defense(in particular the 1-2-2 ball press) and Flex offense plus some motion offense.   He grew up in Columbia, MO and went to the University of Missouri, graduated in 1990.   Married to my wife Renee for 21 years with 3 children, Hallie 21, Jarrett 17, Bryn 12.   Jarrett also plays for me and will be a senior.    @gregbuescher1
