Episode 77: 1995 Year in Review

from Legion Gaming Podcast · host Donny

Deucy and I are going back to the future this week when we revisit gaming in 1995! Sega and Nintendo are locked in a heated console war as the 8-bit NES fades away and both 32-bit consoles, the Saturn and Playstation, are on the horizon. We thought we'd take a retrospective look at some of the big games that released in 1995 and a deeper examination of the generational transition to 3D gaming. Fighting games were everywhere and we talk about how Mortal Kombat 3 was one of the most anticipated sequels ever and how it was everywhere (almost literally). The Virtual Boy, Donkey Kong Country 2, home ports of DOOM, Comix Zone, Chrono Trigger, and many, many other iconic games all released in an already packed year.    Email us:  [email protected] Instagram: @LegionGamingPodcast
