Episode 77 - The little Restaurant that could!

In this episode we bring on another amazing Freedom Fighter to the show, one we have looked up to this entire pandemic. Most of you know her, her adorable family and their restaurant, Corduroys Restaurant, as they have been standing up against these ridiculous mandates from day one, working hard to make everyone feel welcome not just in the restaurant but online as well. Their the OG Freedom Fighting Family in our eyes. On social media they have been speaking out with funny yet informative reels, calling out the crazy politics and antics we are witnessing while teaching us how to navigate & move forward. We live for every one of them. Rebecca has been a beacon of light for all of us who just weren’t falling for the bullshit we’ve been exposed to. Who had questions but were to afraid to ask. Who needed some inspiration to speak out. Her restaurant also quickly became a place where those discriminated against found a piece of home, peace, unity and belonging. Since the beginning she has asked for proof of why certain industries were targeted while others were free to continue operations. Yet to be known….. If this is truly about safety and health, where is the data supporting this? Surely with such drastic measures, there must be some form of data collection driving this conclusion? No? While waiting for legitimate reasons, she worked hard to updated her restaurant so she did not have to ask for passes. Refusing to give up and give in. The strength!
