Episode 79: Vive La France! (Bastille Day)

from RE-VGM

Hurry for France! Today marks the Bastille Day, when a group of French citizens stormed a medieval fortress called the Bastille in 1789. There were rising tensions with the monarchy at the time, and this day marked the beginning of the French Revolution. A year later, the day was formed “to honor the French Republic and commemorate both the Fête de la Fédération (Festival of the Federation) and the storming of the Bastille.” This week, we’re playing tracks from video games developed in France: an amnesic intelligence agent who’s trying to recover his memories, a group of students fighting an AI, and a prisoner searching an island to kill its “King”. We’ll also listen to some remixes as well. Raise a croissant as you listen to these fascinating tracks.   Bastille Day Code Lyoko YT Channel     Track Listing “Main Theme” – [Flashback] – composed by Jean Baudlot, Fabrice Visserot “A Quest for Identity [Flashback Theme]” – remixed by Astral Tales “Un Monde San Danger (A World Without Danger)” (French lyrics) – [Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity] – composed by Franck Keller, Ygal Amar “A World Without Danger (sTayU Remix)” – remixed by sTayU “Prisoner’s Awakening” – [Dead Cells] – Yoann Laulan “Dance Cells” – remixed by Valmont   YouTube playlist   Source
