Episode 80 : "Spotlight on mental health, saving Chloe, and the Cookie Connection"

from Hungry for More : an Epicurean's Dilemma · host trish glose

The spotlight is on mental health among young people in Episode 80. Trish Glose interviews Andrea Berryman Childreth about her daughter, Chloe, and what she and her husband noticed about their daughter from a very early age. Chloe was diagnosed as ADHD and bipolar at the young age of 6, but Andrea talks about how that didn't seem to help relieve the stress of their situation. From that diagnosis, things only got worse and eventually, they sent their daughter to a residential treatment facility in Utah. Andrea talks about how finding help, treatment and support for a child with mental illness was not only scarce, but how her family managed to save their daughter, and how they're surviving today.
