Episode 82 LET KIDS BE KIDS!!

from The Be Real Babe Podcast · host Brandi Marie

In this episode we talk about things that are really starting to make us wonder wtf is happening. We’ve talk about how we feel about Hollywood and the wilderness of that beast, but now it seems to be leaking into the general population and we aren’t so sure that’s great. We are getting growing concerns with the lines being blurred between adult and child content. We know how destructive sexual behaviour and exposure can be to young kids, why is it all of a sudden becoming acceptable for some drag shows? & before anyone starts to get worked up or upset, please listen to the entire show before trying to label us. As we have said many many times before on this show, several truths can exist at one time AND we all don’t have to agree but we can learn to respect each others opinions. Drag queens should be able to be themselves 100P and live their best damn lives being the queens they are. If it’s a crude/nude show, it should be in adult settings. People should be able to express themselves and embrace their amazing selves and feel free to do so. Without involving nudity and sexual context in front of kids. We only say this because we’ve seen the damage that the porn industry, Hollywood & shows like ANTM have done to us, our bodies and our mental health so we feel it’s fair to sound an alarm here. Even more so when it is politically incorrect to ask about this. We know how well they play did the past two years right?? 😏 What’s wrong with pausing here and saying “hold up, let’s think on this for a beat”. We have nothing but love for all beings but our most important task here is to let kids be kids. Have the childhood we didn’t. Not force them to grow up before they need too and shove nudity down their throats as if it’s the their value. Most of us are still trying to unlearn the pattern that our bodies/sexual experience drives our worth. What do you guys thinks?
