In this week's episode, we're joined by bariatric surgeon, Dr. Timothy Snow. He and I are talking all about bariatric surgery. You'll learn about the different types of bariatric surgery and who may or may not be a good candidate for those procedures.Dr. Timothy Snow currently serves as the Bariatric Program Director and Robotic Surgery Director at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. He completed his surgical residency at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in New York and then Bariatric and Minimally Invasive surgery fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina. Additionally, he has performed bariatric proctoring at Sentara Rockingham where he also functions as the Bariatric Program Director. Dr. Snow is an active committee member of his national surgical societies of ASMBS and SAGES and was recently a session co-chair at this year's annual SAGES meeting discussing SADI bariatric surgery. He also serves as a board member and frequent speaker for the Virginia Bariatric Society. Dr. Snow performs numerous bariatric operations including Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass, Single Anastomosis Duodenal Switch, and Revision procedures.
