This week on Meet Me for Coffee, I meet with my friend Liz Romeka with Third Strand Photography in San Diego, CA. She is a long time friend and photographer/entrepreneur. We had started our separate photography business about the same time. I love this lady, she is super wife, mom and is always full of talent. I hope you enjoy our conversation as we catch up with life, talk about workflow in photography, getting published, the challenges of being an entrepreneur and being present with your family.Coffee shop: Moniker General, Liberty Station in San Diego, CAThird Strand Photography Instagram: @MeetMeforCoffeePodcast

True North Insight: Rick Hanson's most recent Dharma talks via dharmaseed.org I first encountered Buddhism in 1974, and it blew the doors wide open for me with its profound and practical insights into the mind, suffering, and true happiness. Over time I gravitated to the original teachings of the Buddha, embodied in the Theravadan tradition, for their down-to-earth clarity, and important sources for me have included the teachers of Spirit Rock Meditation Center and the Pali Canon itself. More recently, I've explored grounding the dharma in modern evolutionary neuropsychology - "neurodharma" - recognizing how mind arises dependently upon the body, especially the nervous system as it tries to meet ancient needs for raw survival. I am especially interested in using these approaches to heighten the learning - the cultivation (bhavana) - from beneficial experiences (otherwise often wasted on the brain) to reduce the underlying sense of deficit and disturbance that causes the craving that causes suffering and harm. Overall, I feel amazingly blessed to have the opportu Tugglewar Doug Dorda A space where the written and spoken word meet. Original stories, written, narrated, and discussed by friends. John Lennon: The Lost Lennon Tapes - The Original Radio Shows LittleAbby Welcome to the Lost Lennon Tapes, as originally broadcast by Westwood One almost 20 years ago. Please note that this podcast is not a rehash of the Lost Lennon Tapes LPs (which excerpted the music only), but consists instead of the original shows (from vinyl and/or tape sources) in their entireties, with narration, interviews, sponsor spots, etc. The sound quality is good, not fantastic, but the content is still as interesting as when it originally aired in the late 80's. The Sound of Electricity Podcast handswithenergy A regular trip from the original New Wave to the modern Nightclub. Taking in the best of synth music along the way.
