I meet with Mario Piombo, co-founder/owner of Aperature Media and Design here in Napa, CA. This week on Meet Me for Coffee , I hang out with Derek Bromley, the owner of OHM Coffee Roasters, which is a mobile coffee truck here in the Napa Valley. We talked and drank OHM coffee, both hot and a cold brew at JAX diner. It was one of the most enjoyable conversations I have had with a new friend. It was great listening and learning about coffee and the similiarities with wine. Which seems quite appropriate here in the wine country.  This was one of my most educational, and yet super fun podcast to date. Born in England, went to work in Austrailia where he found his love for the coffee culture, moved to San Francisco where he worked with Pasqua, then worked with Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, where he helped open 36 storefronts in southern California. When we recorded the podcast, Britney and her husband Brian were getting ready to move out to Colorado Springs, CO. We caught up with each other because it had been awhile since we had a chance to talk and hangout. We talked about life as a nanny, the move to Colorado, travelling and just life in general.  You may or may not hear us get choked up. I’m going to miss Britney, and the new family that she will have her as a nanny is going to be so blessed! Her daughter Bethany join us, you’ll hear in the background She and her husband Petey were one of the first families that welcomed us at our church and here in Napa 7 years ago. Petey went home to Jesus about 4 years ago in July. I had a great time catching up with Jen and to listen to how life has been for her and her kiddos. We talk about travelling, her kiddos and the meanings of their names, living with her mother in law, being single mom and just life in general.  What I love about our conversation is how she always pointed to God or brought back our conversation back to Jesus.  I hope you will find nuggets of encouragement and focus from listening to this strong woman of God.  I was definitely blessed. 

This week on Meet Me for Coffee I hangout with my friend Rachael Hairston at The Barking Dog Roasters in Sonoma. She is the owner and photographer of Rachael Hairston Photography. Our conversation was one of the most authentic and real conversations I’ve had with a fairly new friend. You’re invited to listen in on how we became friends and how we come to learn lot more about each other. Our topics range from parenting, to single parenthood, to being a business owner / photographer, being a veteran, to being homeless to community. We seriously forget that I was recording.  I walked away smiling and inspired after spending time with Rachael. I have to forewarn you our conversation is bit on the longer side, but I couldn’t stop recording. Then once I was editing, I couldn’t leave any of our conversation out.  I hope what you hear inspires your to reach out to a friend, spend time with him/her and truly get to know their stories. I found a kindred soul in Rachael. I hope that you will find one too for your life.
