Send us Fan MailFor anyone who has been listening to this show long enough, you know my love & affinity for the Cannabis plant. This plant is one which I have a deep relationship with & one which has aided me in my never ending quest for physical, emotional, mental & spiritual well being. This being said, one of the areas that is gaining a lot of popularity within the realm of Cannabis is that of Cannabis & exercise, specifically within the area of running. When we run, we stimulate the release of endocannabinoids, such as Anadamide, which allow us to feel the “high” commonly associated with exercise. When we interact with Cannabis & run, however, we not only stimulate these endocannabinoids, but we are also able to invoke a sense of “one-ness” with the nature around us, which ultimately brings forth the ability to be more present & calm, even in the face of intense physical challenges. Todays guest on the show is an expert in the realm of Cannabis & running & is someone I am extremely excited to dive in with on the subject of Cannabis as a whole. He is a professional journalist, having worked in the field for over 10 years for organizations such as Vice, The Guardian & Esquire, is the senior editor of the Suspect Press magazine & is the Author & Soul behind the book “Runners High”, which was released in 2021 & speaks to how a movement of Cannabis fueled Athletes is changing the science of sports.Show Notes:(2:35) Josiah talks about what got him into cannabis, journalism and exercise. (10:13) Josiah talks about using cannabis to help shift his perspective on different projects.(11:25) Connect with Cannabis.(18:15) Josiah talks about his experience with exercise & education.(25:12) Ryan gives his viewpoints on exercise and healthy living practices.(29:33) Can cannabis & competition coexist? (38:18) Ryan speaks about being intuitive when exercising. (48:09) Relationship with Cannabis: From dependent to power couple. (51:20) Join the Highly Optimized Ceremony Circle!(52:40) Taking breaks and why it's important.(1:04:18) Where you can reach Josiah and his upcoming projects.(1:04:49) Final Question! This episode was produced by Mazel Tov Media in Quincy, Massachusetts.Purchase Organic High Quality THCA Hemp Flower (use code HIGHLY at checkout for a discount): https://sacredsmokecollective.com/
