Greg is an Associate Professor and Course Coordinator for Strength and Conditioning within the School of Medicine and Health at Edith Cowan University.  Greg is also the current President of National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Dr. Haff is one of the top published sport scientists in modern times and has recently co-edited the 4th edition of the NSCA's Essentials of Strength & Conditioning, and also was co-author along with Tudor Bompa for the 5th edition of Periodization.  On this episode Greg and I discuss: - Greg's background and influences - What does the term Periodization mean to Greg - Greg's thoughts on John Kiely's writings on Periodization  - We discuss what Greg sees as a Holy Grail issue in Periodization - Training Residuals - Why Greg believes Strength Development is Fundamental  - Training Compatibility of Alactic-Aerobic Qualities  - Greg and I have a great discussion on Energy System Development The audio on this episode is shaky.
