Episode seventeen– the one about dealing with challenging people Back to work! Back to dealing with challenging people. Today we answer a question from Sara Green in the U.S. We all have people we know and work with who we just don’t click with. Sometimes it’s because they are terrible people (!) but often it’s because we’re at cross purposes or we want different things from the same situation. In this episode, we discuss what you can do to make things work more for you and we suggest questions you can ask them to try to better understand them. It helps to recognise the main differences that exist at work: pace (how quickly a person wants to think, speak, act, decide) and extraversion (to what extent is someone a lone wolf vs a think out loud tell everybody everything all the time). We send special love to all the Susans we know and we pay homage to Encyclopaedia Britannicas – especially the V book. Not personality. Not fluff. Just clarity on where people thrive — and where they get frustrated. If you’re planning your next team day, offsite, or work event, I’d love to bring this to your crew.
