Equity Department and Ubuntu Movement Explore Partnership to Empower Saint Lucia’s Youth

A new partnership aimed at positioning young people as leaders of positive change is being considered as the Department of Equity, Social Justice, Gender and Older Persons engages the Ubuntu Movement on opportunities to strengthen youth leadership, volunteerism and peacebuilding across Saint Lucia. The discussions focused on the Movement’s Ambassadors of Justice and Peace Programme, which equips young people with training, mentorship and structured opportunities to lead volunteer projects and become positive agents of change within their communities. Guided by the principle “I am because we are,” the Ubuntu Movement promotes collective responsibility and community well-being by empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.
