Erik Andrade-Candidate for New Bedford Tax Assessor

I am running for New Bedford Tax Assessor because I believe the current formula for tax assessment is flawed and has negative impacts. The current formula is based upon the real estate market’s valuation. The market value of properties shift based upon the will of those with money.  Additionally the real estate market has a long history of harm, bias, & inequity. Thus any formula that is based upon an unfair real estate market is also going to be unfair.
