ERNIE's COMPASSIONATE CONCERN, Helping Many with FREE CLOTHES

SEND US A TEXTIn 2002, he started a non profit organization called Clothes2U with the purpose of giving clothes to Langley residents, free of charge. This  remarkable idea grew out of a single parents support group Ernie formed a few years earlier. One in 10 BC residents are below the poverty line & this makes a significant difference to thousands. He started by giving adult clothes & has grown to clothes for babies to adults, toys, linens, diapers/incontinence products, books, personal and smaller household items. They’ve  grown from Langley to also serving  Surrey, Newton, Guilford, White Rock, Abbotsford, Aldergrove, & Chilliwack  with two events per year per community. Many thousands  are encouraged in their lives  by these events. They are held in halls and church gyms with the space provided free. Attendees over the age of 10 pay a $3 entry fee and that is their only cost. They are welcome to receive as many clothes as they need for free. The entry fee is for the expense of operating Clothes2U and  does not cover all the cost, thus, the balance comes out of Ernies’ pocket.We are going to hear more from this incredible & generous man & what drives his passion for helping others.
